Derek walked out of the back of the pelican with his MA5C in his hand. He walked away from the Peli, then stopped looking around. He smiled alittle and looked over at Ryan. He walked over to him and asked "so any idea what we're doing here". He looked down at the jungle floor and kicked a rock. It skipped along the grassy floor till coming to a stop. He looked around at the rest of the squad and then back towards Ryan.

Re: The Battle For Reach: Interactive.

I'll join, but a few things...

    1) Ugh... I'd ask everyone to look at this thread please for some info on FC's fictional background. All the background information if you really want to go on a historically accurate bio is in there.

    <<The Fires of Heaven>>

    2) A posting order, pl0x? Perhaps in a new thread? This is already majorly bungled.

    3) Don't really care, but just letting people know that Spartans, in this case IVs, are trained from birth. The training regimen has not changed regardless of the advancement in years because of the growth acceleration that takes place. In any rate, I ignored that with my bio.

    4) Imperial Military = Marines, ODSTs. R.E.D.D. = Spartan-IVs.

Anyways, I'll post a relatively short app.

    ----

    Name: Alfred Moore, Alfred-019, C19

Faction (REDD or BLUE): Imperial Military, REDD

Soldier Class (Infantry, Marksman, Sniper, etc.): Spartan-IV, Captain, Infantry

    Appearance:

A lithe, muscular man of 6'6" at 28 years of age, Alfred has a definitively mixed descent between caucasian and oriental ancestry. His skin is a pale white as a result of spending so much time encased in a tin suit, and his hair is buzzed and dark black in nature as per Imperial military protocol with hair length regulations. He has no eye-catching scars on his face contrary to the features of so many other soldiers due to the fact that he is entirely cased in MJOLNIR-class power armor. Like all Spartan-IV class soldiers, he is much more able and physical than any Imperial Marine or ODST due to the special supplements and growth acceleration given to him from birth. As he was conscripted as an infant, he has not suffered the pangs of such augmentations unlike Spartan-IVs trained at much later ages.

    Personality:

Strict, no nonsense, and most of all able. Alfred believes firmly in the Empire and its ability to defend and maintain the Inner and Outer Colonies with an iron fist. He sees targets and not regular humans as a result of the type of education he received during his training. Not particularly cold, he represents the strength and aptness of the Empire before the split in 2606 with the Brotherhood Legion of United Exiles. In any rate, for him traitors are traitors, and deserve nothing less than execution for high treason. He has several former 'classmates' on the opposing side; of the course of the war, he has eliminated five of six traitors, and plans to remove the sixth for good as a continued pledge of commitment to the Emperor. Like all Imperial military personnel, he owes allegiance to its founder... not the organization.

    History:

    *Will post later*

Re: The Battle For Reach: Interactive.

*Let people just post, those who want to contribute will, to have a designed writer defeats the purpose of an interactive story*

Amber lights flashed above the bulkheads and klaxons blared in the stiffling drop bay of the REDD Carrier Perfect Storm as a half dozen ODST's stood at loose attention infront of their HEV pods, sweat beading on their foreheads. The bulkhead at the end of the row hissed open and and newley promoted ODST Commander stepped into the bay, his boots resounding of the titanium floor as he approached the unit with his helmet under his arm. The squad's eyes glanced back and forth between him and themselves, all noticing the deep scar that ran down his right cheek. He stopped at the first trooper, a Lieutenant, and quickly looked him up and down, grunting his aproval before proceeding to inspect each trooper in line. He reached the end and spun around, clearing his throat.
"I understand you are all a little confused. I know that you've had only a few hours to get to know eachother, and that you were pulled from various other units for your skill set." He paused to take a breathe. "This is the first time we've worked together, and we don't have the luxury to get to know eachother before drop." He placed a hand on the shoulder of the Lieutenant. "I am Commander Shaer, follow my orders, do your duty, and you will make it home. How do we go down troopers?"
The chorus of yells ecoed through the bay as the squad bellowed the long time ODST response "We go feet first sir!"
Cody glanced at the Lieutenant and cracked a small smile. "We're going to be one hell of a team trooper."

    Years Later...

Cody closed his tac map on his HUD and adjusted a knob on the side of his ODST Helmets CMND Module. It had been years since their first drop together, and it has been the drop that forged them into the tight knift, effective team they were today. Checking his surroundings, he waved a hand in a series of signals to his XO Lieutenant Commander Adrian Thompson motioning him to move forward to recon the immediate area. Adrian passed the signal on to the teams CQB/Demolition specialist Warrant Officer Allister "Tank" Cox who nodded and moved forwrd with him. Cody watched the two, Adrian tall, slender and fast, an expert in marksmanship, stealth and recon, while Tank was hulking, loud, and extremley proficient in explosives and carnage, and couldnt stop himself from thinking they were the most extreme contrast of troopers on his team. As the pair slinked away from their drop zone, Commander Cody Shaer turned to the rest of his team.

He spun two finger in the air just above his helmet, the "rally up" signal, and the three remaining ODST's came jogging from the perimeter positions to take a knee infront of him. First to arrive was team medic Lieutenant Jessa Leroux, her armour trimmed in scarlet and bursting with all sorts of medical pouches and compartments. She dropped, her MA5K resting over her knee as she depolarized her helmet's visor, he piercing green eyes shone from behind her faceplate as she pulled the helmet off, letting her shoulder length brown hair flow out. "Hoo-ah Commander."

Cody nodded, and as usual, could never figure out how her French accent managed to sooth him, and the hundreds of patients she tended to, regardless of if she saved them or not. They turned as the teams Communications and Intelligence officer droped from a tree, mud splashing up his black and navy colored armour. He took a few steps and stopped, bending quickly to untange his radio pack antenna from a group of vines, he continued for a few steps before taking a knee and removing his helmet. The sun shined off his cleanly shaved head and his dark beedy eyes darted left to right into the jungle surrounding them. He slung his DMR and grunted at Cody. "Vats good sir?"

Cody exchanged fist bumps with his long time friend Lieutenant Vadim Mogilevsky. The two had spent most of their basic training together untill Cody was accepted into the ODST division months before Vadim. "Hang tight Vad. One more."
Vadim grunted and turned as the sound of a cocking SMG, a new weapon being fielded by REDD, alerted the trio to the fourth members arrival. A black and yellow ODST came jogging past a landed HEV, his SMG resting in his arm as he ran to the Commander and his squadmates. He joined them on his knee and removed his helmet, propping his SMG up over his shoulder. "Sorry sir, didn't mean to come late."

Cody gave a quick nod. "You're right on time B."
The youngest ODST of the team nodded, quickly scratching his blonde stubble on his head and tightened his combat harness. Master Chief Petty Officer Bojan Bjelic was a ripe 25, the youngest and most inexperienced member of Cody's team, but his gut instinct had saved the lives of many past squadmates. He squinted, his blue eyes burning in the sunlight as he put up a hand to block the brightness.

Cody cleared his throat and removed his helmet, his silver-black hair shorn close to his head. He looked over his squad members infront of him and nodded inwardly to himself, pleased with the unit they had become. "Alright listen up troopers, we've dropped in ahead of a larger landing force to help recon the area. The mission, is to secure a forward base of operations for future actions, our mission, is to recon and scout out any hostile forces in the AO, and establish contact with the main landing force. After we establish contact, we will connect with HIGH COM for new orders. Questions?"

"Sir vat is da size of our main anding force and who is our contact?" Vadim said adjusting his weight.

Cody tapped his helemt and the team slid them on, their faceplates polarizing silver as he tapped into his squad net and brought up a holo map of an island. Zooming down to their drop zone, he scrolled back to anoher large clearing in the jungle where dozens upon dozens of green triangles moved towards them. Cody keyed his COM "There's our boys in green, no specific contact, should meet up with them in a few hours." He scrolled up, widening the frame to show additional clusters of green triangles dotting the island. "These groups are forward marine recon units, they'll be scouting the entire island."

Vadim was about to speak when the crack of Adrian's sniper rifle and the heavy boom of Tank's shotgun blasted through the jungle ahead of them. With a quick check of gear, Cody fired a series of quick hand signals and the ODST's moved into the tangle of greens and browns after thei fellow squadmates.

Baz I don't think you understand when this story takes place. Reach takes place in 2552. This story takes place at least past 2603....

I'd join but some people dont know the definition of a Halo based RP. Or the history or basis of all Halo knowledge.. It will kinda ruin it.. I can only see myself doing these things with people who have all the knowledge of Halo.
