Sounds like fun, although I'm a bit confused as to the "roles" you are talking about. Are you implying that people HAVE to do those things in a game? If that's the case, I dont like that at all. 1v1 snipers tourney? This should be fun. Looking forward to it.

I see the roles as more as a fun organization category for members of the community than actual definitions to styles of play in game. How often do you see a defenseman lead an offensive rush in soccer or hockey? Same should go for Halo. If a support player sees a sniper spawn they should pick it up and utilize it, whereas that would be primarily the job for a main slayer. Who cares?

As for a cap limit to squads per all star roster, sure. Nobody wants to watch a professional all star game with all players on the same team. Variety is good in this case. Have an inter squad tourney to see who will represent and make it fun.

I kind of still need feedback on how we are going to choose people for the tournament.

The options I have listed are roles in which you would sign up for.

We will do a nomination process which will then narrow it down to Top 5 Slayers, Snipers, Support etc. and depending on which method is chosen we will take the top 1,2,3 vote getters and they will play on the team.

Or we can simply do a most votes system in which we take like the top 20 and you vote for them once a day for like a month.

Pull up the top 20 stats in each army and have everyone who can see the WC including Precursors vote.
