    300,000 more Xbox Live Servers
    Kinect included with console
    TV integration

    Cons
    Higher Price
    Non-Backwards Compatible

Concerns (Before Microsoft Changed Their Policies)

    Xbox One DRM

Reason for adding DRM. Video Game companies are being hurt by the selling of pre-owned games. Any pre-owned game being sell is being put into the pockets of the retailers pocket and none is going into the video gaming companies.

In order to play games you must be logged in at least once every 24-hours.

    Pre-owned Games

However, with the new DRM it will allow customers to still trade in games with select retailers such as Gamestop using a licensing system. Basically when you install a game to your hard drive a license is linked to your xbox live account. In order to trade in a used game to retailers you must delete the license on your account and it will be checked by the retailer. So far there is no difference between this system of pre-owned games and current system of the pre-owned games, but companies like EA have the option of charging you a fee that will directly support the manufacturers of the game. This is OPTIONAL and EA has already expressed they will probably not charge you a fee.

Selling Games Privately, Renting Games, and Access to your Gaming Library

The way to sell games privately via the Xbox One is by having someone in your friends list for 30 days. Also you must use the Transfer Wizard program on the Xbox One to transfer the game. This action is un-reversible, so you can only do this once.

Xbox One confirmed there is no way to rent games.

Any game you install on your Xbox One console is accessible from any other Xbox One console, but you must be signed into the User that has game registered to your account. This will allow people to bring your whole gaming library to another person's house without bringing your discs with you.

    Tv Integration/Kinect Voice Commands

With the TV integration you will be allowed to hop from different inputs such as tv, games, movies, music, and apps almost instantly using voice commands. Also there will be different ways of multitasking such as using skype while watching a movie. This is meant to be an all-in-one entertainment system.

    Xbox LIVE changes

Xbox LIVE Gold for families. After killing the Xbox LIVE Gold Family Pack earlier this year, Microsoft will expand the existing Xbox LIVE Gold subscription for individuals to include “anyone in your home” at no additional cost. The price isn’t changing, so this is a tremendous deal. (Within the confines of Microsoft still requiring a paid subscription.)

Local currency support. Starting this fall, you will be able to purchase games, movies, apps and entertainment in your local currency instead of being forced to use Microsoft’s silly Microsoft Points system. “We are moving away from Microsoft Points,” Microsoft says. Amen!

Cloud features. Finally owning up to the fact that the Xbox LIVE backend indeed utilizes Microsoft’s powerful Azure cloud services, Microsoft is now explaining how this will fundamentally change your Xbox One user experience. All of your games and entertainment content will be stored and saved on Xbox Live, so you can access them anytime from any Xbox One console. Xbox One will always be up-to-date and ready when you are, thanks to background updating. Developers can take advantage of “the 300,000 servers backing Xbox LIVE” starting this fall.

Gamerscore. Yes, your hard-earned Gamerscore will carry over from the Xbox 360, which makes sense as it’s tied to your Xbox account, not the console.

Reputation. A new Xbox LIVE capability, reputation rewards healthy participation while reducing troublemakers and cheaters. We’ll see: This stuff is broken today in Xbox 360.

Smart Match. Where Xbox LIVE supports matchmaking today, Xbox One will improve on that with Smart Match, which will match players based on skill, language and reputation. Asynchronous matchmaking means you can play a game, watch TV or listen to music while Smart Match finds your perfect match, then you can jump in instantly when it’s ready.

Social features. Microsoft is adding a number of new social features to Xbox LIVE, including a Game DVR feature, an Upload Studio for adding voice overs, skins, slow motion and other features to your recorded clips, and Twitch, a way to broadcast your games in real-time or to take on an interactive spectator role leveraging chat functionality as you view content from multitudes of other streamers.

Entertainment features. Xbox One will be accompanied by an improved Xbox SmartGlass “second screen” experience (console power on and off, adjust volume, manage your TV set-top box and Blu-ray, and more), a new Xbox OneGuide for navigate and watching live TV without switching inputs, and a new, more conversational interface for Kinect voice control.

    Exclusives are lacking right now
PlayStation Online Service Fee about $5 ($60 for a year; same as Xbox Live)
PS+ now required for online multiplayer

    Concerns

    PS+

Playstation Plus is required for Online Multiplayer for $50 a year.

Some of the features for having Playstation Plus are:

    Discounted Games
    Cloud Saves
    Automatic Game Updates

    Gaikai Cloud Service

The PlayStation 4's cloud-based streaming features will be coming to the new console in early 2014, Sony revealed during the company's E3 press conference.

Sadly missing the console's "Holiday 2013" launch window, game streaming will be provided by Gaikai, giving access to plenty of "critically acclaimed" PS3 and PS4 games. It's a particularly important service, seeing as the PlayStation 4 won't be backwards compatible with PS3 discs.

Vita games will also be available for streaming, though that feature too is expected to land a little further down the line again.

It is not yet clear whether the streaming launch in early 2014 will be global, or just for select territories

    Re: Xbox One vs PS3

Getting a PS4 and then a Xbox One. I probably, unless I'm weak, not get one until Titan Falls or another Halo game comes out

Also PS plus is 50 for a year, xbox is 60. Not 60 MORE then ps. It's actually 10 dollars less.

PS4 is going the way of the Xbox and is now requiring PS+ for online multiplayer.

For the record, Microsoft never stated that you can't play offline, nor did they state that you can't play used games.

In the initial talks after the Xbox One event, there was confusion. Microsoft clarified themselves and said that it was up to Publishers if a fee existed.
