This was announced a while ago but it is still stinging the gaming community. Activision recently announced that DLC will continue. However, the series will not have any new games (it's kind of like beating a dead horse tbh).

It doesn't surprise me, I've noticed that after Guitar Hero III the track lists fucking sucked. World Tour was so god-damn boring to play through. After I played World Tour I haven't bought a single Guitar Hero game.
Rock Band however has always had a damn near perfect game to play through. Nothing is repetitive.

The problem was they kept putting out a new game EVERY YEAR! The last one i got was Metallica and i still got it.
