It's my belief that the court room should be open to staff officers down to major and perhaps captain as well.

Considering the higher rank held by these individuals, and the fact that there's a good number of them that may be future high command members, i believe they should have access to the courtroom to be able to see how respect matters are taken care of for when they become high command, and allow them to give their opinion on matters.

Especially for someone of my position, i shouldn't have to just tell someone who comes to me with an issue "Go to someone even higher" and forget about it. I am the XO of the Battallion leadership. Ominous is the CO. Neither of us can do anything about any issues short of "Send it to someone in high command" or bringing it to them ourselves for them to bring to the courtroom. It puts yet more responsiblities on high command and can lead to issues not being reported properly. Both company and battallion leaderships are perfectely suited to the small task of making a post.

Flag officers use to be able to view it. It was removed for reasons that I don't agree with that I won't post to help prevent any drama. I agree that flag officers should see the court room as they are a step down from HC. The flag officers often run half/the entire army so why not let them put input on punishments for members they help lead

Maybe Battalion leaders. When I was a Major, I lacked the experience to know how to deal out punishments fairly.

Colonel and LTC are integral in BLUE's leadership, practically High Command anyway, so I would let them in for sure. Anyone below that, still seems too fresh. Oftentimes fresher than Squad Leaders, at least in our army's case.

And from what I understand, REDD is reducing its Flag Officer count anyway.

In the case of justice and the punishment of offenses, opinions should not matter, nor should it matter whether blue or redd has more voices. If the evidence is there, it's there. If it is not, it's not.
