weird happenings in in the Halo Franchise

Would be the perfect way to hype Halo 2 Anniversary, but I don't think 343i is large enough to be working on two separate games at the same time. They've got some interesting plans, though, it seems.

Honestly why do Halo fans make such a big deal about the Anniversary games like seriously if I wanted to play Halo 1 or Halo 2 I will play it how it was originally made...

Obvious product milking is obvious and I hate it!

Because nostalgia is something that exists? Also, lack of backwards compatibility, perhaps?

It's a similar reason why map remakes are often quite popular. We've been playing Sanctuary, Lockout, etc. since H2, and it keeps coming back.

"Milking" is kind of irrelevant, when the entire purpose of 343i's existence is to do just that.

Also, whether you hate it or not doesn't mean it's a bad method of advertising. I Love Bees would generate hype with lots of other people, and H2A would sell lots. Those two reasons alone makes it a perfectly valid option.


This is still better than CoD releasing the same game over and over for a decade. At least Halo Anniversary doesn't pretend to be new. xD

Well you can play Halo 2 on the 360 and if you really want Halo 1 you can purchase it on the Games on Demand. I do agree it is not nearly as bad as CoDs method of milking.

And yes the advertising would be smart and I was not referring negatively to the advertising at all just the mention of Anniversary spiked a rant in me.

*True nostalgia is playing the original game not the HD remakes.

Can't play Halo 2 Campaign with friends though, which you could through an Anniversary.

Would also be awesome if they brought back all the old Halo 2 maps. I would actually play Halo 4 again.

fuzzy i am not paying to create a lan network just for fc members.... although we could do that through a vpn, the lag would be terrible.

I want a Halo 2 anniversary with XBL multiplayer. Is till play Vista HALO 2 but the population is so low. A 360 or one remake would be nice just for that.
