The Brotherhood Expeditionary Spartan trooper Project codenamed, the BEST Project is a expedition launched by the brotherhood to explore a system which we lost contact with many years ago. The current goals of the project are:

Field test new weapon and armour systems
Search for survivors
search for tech or resources to be brought back from colonies
establish a permanent presence on any habitable planets fit for colonization
