FC, here we are at another year in this community. We'll be turning 9 years old soon. This community has lasted through nearly all generations of Halo games. We're pretty damn old, and that's an accomplishment. But what have we done in all that time? I propose a resolution: this year, we all decide what our purpose is in FC. If we don't have one, then FC doesn't have one. Ask yourself a question, why are you here?
FC stands upon a principle of respect. That means we all respect each other. If you refuse that, if you believe your respect must be earned and not given freely, then you aren't committed to that principle. And if you aren't committed, why are you here?
Our Accords detail a list of rules to follow, so that we can all have fun.. If you have to ask where those rules apply, then you clearly don't want to follow them, or you want to know where you can break them. If you don't want to follow the rules, why are you here?
As a community, we can only flourish by valuing all of our members. Without that unity, we cannot accomplish our goals, or expect anyone to feel like they belong. If you don't care about that, you don't care about your fellow members. If that's the case, why are you here?
What's it going to take to make FC the place it was meant to be? This year, we ought to find out what it takes, and we ought to do it. Make the choice. Decide why you're here.
