      According to a Reddit AMA from one of the palm trees, originally those two sharks were going to be college students that were members of a dance team but at the in the final few days Katy Perry decided she wanted to have her own dance team be the sharks. The college students had been practicing for nearly three weeks at the point when those two were dismissed in favor of Katy's own team.
