~Alien ship? possibilities~ more covies, covies enemies, forerunners, forerunners enemies (other possible answer to keep flood alive and build rings to fight them)
~it would be so cool if MC runs into jorge from reach... (u know since he lived ;P (but teleported))

well considering he used some explosive ammo at first before he attached it with his pistol, the last thing that would be put on it would be a grenade launcher

While he is still alive when we see the ship "blow up", he is trapped in slip space with that part of the ship. With no way to guide where he is going or easy way of getting out of it(alive atleast). Remember in First Strike when the Spartans took the Spirit transport they had to reinforce that thing so much, and it still barely held together. So the odds of Jorge ending up on the "Mystery Planet" (could be Onyx) in one piece and alive is extremely slim. Like one of the Olsen twins thin.

But new ammo types would be awesome. Even if its just explosive ammo for campaign only.
