I'm not knocking this, but in order to get the war-sim atmosphere, it'll take a lot more than just re-naming ranks.
The ranks are fine, we should start addressing people by their rank though. Like, I come into a lobby and say "Hey Kuhblam"
Well, I could say "Hey/Greetings General Kuhblam"
Lobbies should also be silent with Request-permission-to-speak involved.

If we provided more (for fun (NOT SPARTAN CAMPS)) camps and had game-nights, it might lighten up the mood.

Exactly, communities like Tactical Warfare(huge and old ass community) make you check in when you join a lobby for an event and you have to request to speak during any meeting.

Thats why I also said the things about how we go about the forums. Honestly the only time that I ever came into a lobby and said hello sir. Yes sir, no sir. Was when I was in Nightwish :p But I will start doing now too so I can set an example.

My point is why not let the epicness of the battles themselves be our story, and have them chronicled into a story? Shit....off topic. I really should've just asked this in another forum post shouldn't I?

That is one of the three topics I spoke of in the OP. So yes you are on topic, and that would be a great idea to do.

In regards to the story; if you want to see stuff included, please talk to me. I have the time to write these reports and the story (the latter is very intricate coupled with planning and writers block.) I am very picky over how things go with our fiction; if you want to help writing it, talk to me.

My opinion about the ranks was originally a no because I was partially concerned with the quality of the work, but I'm rethinking it. I'm going to propose some background stuff to the WC very soon; look out for it.

IMO the War Sim feeling will come back when Commanders step up and run their units like a military unit and not a sports team. When we all decide to act like a military solider for the war events/battles/practices then it will happen. Ranks and what not are just words, the feeling comes from the attitude of the people involved.

thats exactly what i thought, i thought REDD just had one leader and others followed however BLUE was the originals that didnt want change of power and correction.... Like i know were called "Rebels" but we really arent.... Also i look at it as Blue= Good, RED=Bad... blue kinda has a heavenly color while RED kinda has a hell color (no offence)... its just due to lighter and darker colors
