2v2 "Purple" Tournament

Hola FC. To those BLUEs who know me, stop reading this and get back to work! To those REDDs who may not know me, feel free to pay attention to this thread and ignore the BLUE with a shotgun behind you.

In the never ending quest to make this community as kickass as possible, we will be having a 2v2 tournament over our Christmas break and peacetime. Santa will be delivering presents while we team up with one another to, well, kill one another. A fun 2v2 tournament where we will use FC maps and FC gametypes (maybe with a small bit of editing) to enjoy our break from school, work, and even battles.


But there's a catch.


Oh, so I see you noticed the purple reference in the title. What two colors mixed together make purple?

This 2v2 tournament will pit teams of two against each other, and you all get to choose your teamates and make your teams however you want.

That is, as long as you choose a teammate from the opposite army.


So ditch the isolation, and meet someone new. Lets not make this as awkward as a middle school dance, and ask someone from the other side to join with you already. Maybe you'll find we aren't so different after all. And no, I will not find a teammate for you, you must make the connection to someone from the other side yourself.

Rules: Basic FC rules. If you can't do it in a battle night, don't do it here. Must choose a teamate from the opposing army. Encouraged to meet someone new. Double elimination.

Gametypes and Maps: Will be pulled from 4v4 FC maps and basic gametypes. Will be preset for each round.

Time: Will start after this Sunday's final beta war battle night. You will set games up with opposing team on your own time, and be given a few days to a week to complete your match.

Prizes (per person):
1st Place: 2,500 vCash
2nd Place: 1,000 vCash
3rd Place: 500 vCash
4th Place: 250 vCash

Rules and Basic Info

-Maps are variants of default and popular forged maps.
-Gametypes will function as FC time limit based. Time limit will be limited to 10 minutes per game instead of 15.
-Pre-set loadouts. All loadouts will contain a lower tier armor ability, frag grenades, and a magnum. Primary weapon and support upgrades to be loadout specific.
-Ordinances turned OFF

-Best 2 out of 3 games for This Round. Third game is only to be played if needed or if desired.
-Games must be completed on or before Sunday. You will get with the opposing team yourself and play your match. Scores must be reported to me via PM. If you would like to dispute a match, PM me with a link to the halo.xbox.com match results and explain the dispute.
