As some of you have noticed, there's been a lot of topics posted up in the Creative Writing section of the forums for the past day and a half. A great deal of those topics have to do with "Shops" and "Rosters" and "Banks" and all that.
Well, I'm going to let you all know what's up.
For several years now, I was a part of a website called Installation 07, in which we played a massive interactive story-based RPG that took place in the Halo Universe. The RPG featured heavy RTS elements, with an emphasis on story.
We already do some of the sort of topics like that here on Forerunner Conflict's website (Read most of what's in the Creative Writing Forum), but I wanted to do something different, on a bigger scale, and so I sent a PM to Mythonian talking about my idea, and he set up all the forums required.
In this RPG, anything can happen. The game takes place in the year 2531, just after the retaking of Harvest from the Covenant, and just before the battle of Sigma Octanus IV. The UNSC and the Covenant have been fighting for six years now, and the SPARTAN II's are beginning to see some frontline action.
After that, anything goes. The Covenant can march all the way to Earth and burn it to the ground, or they can discover a Halo Ring and let loose the nightmare that is the Flood, or Master Chief can lead the charge into the Covenant territory and bring the Prophets to their knees. Whatever happens, is up to you guys.
So here are the things that need to happen before the game can start:
- Both the UNSC and the Covenant need a faction leader, which is someone who is in charge of their faction's finances and deployment.
- Each faction needs at least one other player with which to roleplay.
That's it! We've already had several people sign up, and more people express interest. The more folks that sign up, the more that can happen in the game.

We took them out. Got tired of the roadside bombs and other shenanigans. We're keeping the Covenant Heretics, as they have a stated interest in the Halo Rings, but for a different purpose. We're focusing more on the Human-Covenant War, and the threat of the Prometheans and the Flood.
Having human rebels off the start just distracts from that. But if you have enough funds, and own a planet, you can start your own rebellion.

They were fairly broken, let's be honest. Ground-based MAC cannons are one thing, but an entire navy equal to the UNSC as well?
But yes, we got tired of the rebels winning.

Haha I wasn't part of that, I didn't play that game. I played the one before it. I think Rob and I were the only ones playing the Insurrectionists at the time. I only was using my kill-squad of 4, and I don't remember who we tricked, but I remember we captured a high-end UNSC Commander.
I just enjoyed the Insurrectionists because it allowed us to be stealthy and actually need to use tricks to defeat our opponents. I didn't play when we had MAC Cannons and such.

Sounds like the goal for my characters, one is an ONI agent and the other will be a Headhunter which were teams of 2.

Character Bio: A Spartan - III Headhunter , A-051 excelled at dangerous missions and enjoyed the chaos of the conflict. After his Last mission which resulted in the death of his partner, he was adrift many years staying alive only because of Cryo-sleep. The Ship was found by a Imperial patrol and brought Research Facility for study. For weeks he torturous examinations, They wanted to gather as much data on UNSC era Spartan-III to improve their own troops . Near the End of the Reach Wars, the Brotherhood raided the facility for supplies. Among the prototypes they find Lucian, A Relic of the UNSC Era. The UNSC Loyalists Take him back too their Command and re-equip him and unleashed him upon the Empire. Lucian Fights in every conflict he can no matter how small.
Lucian is use to fighting in pairs and against overwhelming odds, He makes use of his skill with Firearms, deception, and Stealth. During the UNSC era, He was was known for taunting his enemies with Holograms. He excels with any weapon and any range.

Character Faction: Brotherhood
Character Personality: A.I. Intelligence, Cold, Task Oriented,
Character Skills: Infiltration, Subterfuge, Spying.
Character Bio: Nara has been Lucian's AI for over a year now, gaining much experience in combat situations. Over that Year she has learn many things to help boost Lucian's survival rate, despite his risky behavior. She specializes in entering enemy systems and altering, hacking them and retrieving data without them knowing. She keeps several viruses locked up for scrambling enemy systems, and for stopping or slowing hostile A.I.
Character Name: Serin Osman S019
Character Faction: Brotherhood
Character Personality: Direct, ONI Agent, Spartan Training, Long Term Planner,
Character Skills: -Subterfuge, -Spying, -Infiltration
Character Bio: Admiral Serin Osman, formerly SPARTAN-019. Abducted in 2517 as a SPARTAN-II candidate, Osman failed the augmentation process and was recruited into ONI. Considered as a "protege" to Admiral Margaret Parangosky, the Director of Naval Intelligence, she has groomed the former Spartan for a potential future as her successor. She is also known for 'in-your-face' way of answering people. She was hand picked by Parangosky to lead a diplomatic mission to Sanghelios after the war, giving her connections to several powerful and important Covenant Leading Figures.
When The UNSC became the Empire, Osman was lost in the internal power struggle and hated how the UNSC was changing. She left to rally support for what would become a large part of the Brotherhood Forces. Spending much time traveling from contact to contact, the cryo sleep causing her to age considerably less than expected.
