I know this is a forum for PS3, but what I have a problem with is close enough.

I lost the memory cards for my Playstation 2. Basically, when I got my PS3, I packed the PS2 away in its box and forgot about it.

Fast forward 6 years and I've sold off my PS3 for Halo 4 and I want to play a PS2 game.

Can I leave my PS2 on without turning it off? This seems like the only course of action. I can't save and I don't want to keep starting my game over and over again.

This idea came from my brother. When he came to stay with us, he slept in my room and had his PS2 on day and night. He didn't save his games, he just paused it and turned off the TV. His PS2 seemed fine. It even played a game that my PS2 wouldn't.

So what should I do? And before anyone says it, yes, I know I should go buy a memory card. But I won't. I already have two floating around somewhere and I have no money. While I implement this plan, I'll continue searching for them.

I haven't begun playing yet. I'm waiting for a second opinion.

Thanks guys, --G.
